A thoughtful gift to your loved one could have the added bonus of supporting producers in the developing world to get a fair deal for their produce.

Along with the 100s of Fairtrade products available in West Lothian, including traditional Valentine's Day gifts such as chocolates, wine and flowers you can also ask for Fairtrade gold.  Also remember to ask your preferred restaurant if it uses Fairtrade Products.

If you are thinking about popping the question on Valentine's Day, you can express your love and help third work producers by buying a Fairtrade Certificated gold engagement and wedding ring. To find out more about stockists see www.fairtrade.org.uk.

Chair of West Lothian Fairtrade Zone Steering Group Councillor Tom Conn said: "What better way to show your caring side than buying a Fairtrade product this Valentine's Day?  We hope that local people will look out for the Fairtrade Mark and choose Fairtrade for their loved one.  Fairtrade products are competitively priced and make a real difference to the farmers and communities involved."

Finding Fairtrade products in your local area is easier than ever if you use the Directory of Fairtrade in West Lothian. The Directory highlights the retailers, cafes and restaurants that offer Fairtrade products.
