West Lothian Council is seeking the views of carers, the people they support, organisations and anyone else who would like to contribute, on the draft eligibility criteria for carer support.
The views of carers are particularly welcome as the criteria will be applied to them.
The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 comes into effect on 1 April 2018.
The Act details the advice, information and support which unpaid carers, including young carers, are entitled to in order to support them in their caring role enabling them to maintain their health and wellbeing and to have a life alongside caring.
More information on the consultation process and how you can take part is available online at: Draft Local Eligibility Criteria For Carer Support - Consultation Summary Report
