Livingston North Blue Green Network consultation

Last year West Lothian Council received a £20,000 grant from the Central Scotland Green Network Development Fund, to enable a study along the main water-courses, associated pathways and green corridors (woodlands, parks, etc) north of the River Almond in Livingston, to assess them and identify possible future projects for improving them.

31 January

West Lothian Council appointed Mike Hyatt Landscape Architects to draw up a masterplan, to identify issues and potential future improvements. They have now completed a first draft of the masterplan and woodland plan, along with some ideas from Mott MacDonald hydrologists, who have been surveying the waterways.

The council is now seeking feedback on the draft plans, as well as people's own views on the 'blue-green network'.

All information, including plans and a feedback form, can be found

The online feedback form will be open until Monday 19th February.

If you'd like to view the plans in person and speak to some of the team, there will be drop-in sessions on the following dates:

Thurs 1 Feb12pm-4pmAlmond Valley Heritage Centre cafe
Wed 7 Feb10am-1pmLivingston Station Community Centre
