Dementia Awareness Week takes place from June 4-10 with numerous events taking place across the country looking to raise awareness of the condition with the hope that people living with dementia will feel recognised, valued and supported in their local communities.
This year, the key theme of Dementia Awareness Week is making sure nobody faces dementia alone. It is hoped that activities during Dementia Awareness Week will help people understand that learning just a little bit more about dementia can make a big difference to people living with dementia.
Members of the public are invited for a cup of tea and blether to help the Advice Shop share information on what we can all do to support friends, family and people in our communities who are living with dementia.
