They were part of the 220-strong Team Scotland who achieved 44 medals, the nation's best ever tally away from home soil.
West Lothian's homegrown heroes include swimmers Craig Benson, Sean Campsie and Craig McLean, gymnasts Shannon Archer and Ellie Russell, table tennis star Colin Dalgleish and trap-shooter Sharon Niven.
Livingston swimmer Craig McLean was part of the freestyle relay team that collected two bronze medals, with a number of local athletes close to medal success in the finals of their events, or achieving new personal best scores.
Executive councillor for culture and leisure Dave King said: "Well done to all the athletes with West Lothian connections for their excellent performances at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
"It's fantastic to see so many local athletes competing against the best in the world at one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
"Sean, Shannon, Ellie, Colin, Sharon and both Craigs can all the rightly proud of their achievements while representing their country.
"I hope they will use the amazing experience to help drive them onto future success, as well as inspiring the next generation of West Lothian athletes to follow in their footsteps."
