Sharon Wallace has been appointed to the key role of leading the Craigshill school, and is well-known in the community after previously serving as both class teacher and depute Headteacher at Letham.
She began her career as teacher in England, and has also worked as a Curriculum Support Officer leading on Literacy and Numeracy for Falkirk Council.  Sharon recently also achieved both a Post-Graduate Diploma in Middle Management and Leadership and an MSc in Leadership and Management (Into Headship).
Sharon Wallace said: "I am delighted to have been appointed Headteacher at Letham Primary and Nursery Class, and my vision is to make the school the best that it can be.
"Children at the heart of what we do is our school motto and it couldn't be more close to my heart too. I am passionate about reading, and we have already embedded a fabulous reading culture at our school contributing to a recent award at the First Minister's Reading Challenge Celebration earlier this year.
"We pride ourselves on our wonderful relationships with our local community at Letham, and are dedicated to working with every pupil, parent/carer and the Craigshill community."
Executive councillor for education David Dodds said: "Congratulations to Sharon Wallace on her appointment as Headteacher at Letham Primary.
"Sharon demonstrated she has the skills and experience required for the demanding role of leading a school, and we look forward to supporting her and her team to continue to deliver improvements for Letham pupils and the wider community."
