"It is important that waste and recycling containers are presented by 7am and to leave them out until they are emptied. Please put your bins and caddies out as normal, unless stated otherwise, and all collections will return to usual dates from Monday 7 January 2019 with the exception of brown bins."
West Lothian's five Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) will be open every day from 10am to 5pm, except Tuesday / Wednesday 25 - 26 December and 1 - 2 January. Last entry is 4.45pm.
There will be no brown bin collection from Monday 17 December 2018 until Monday 14 January 2019. Please refer to your calendar for your uplift date and ensure any real Christmas trees are cut up and contained within the brown bin with the lid closed, or presented next to your brown bin (again cut up) on your scheduled collection day - if you miss your Christmas tree collection, please place out on your next collection day as we will not return as a missed collection.
Please note that the Bulky Uplift service is suspended from Friday 14 December 2018 until Monday 8 January 2019 to ensure householders' wheeled bin and food waste collections take priority.
Should there be any missed collections then information will be presented on the Recycling and Waste Services daily update page on the West Lothian Council website. Go to .
