Council Executive noted the publication of the council's first ever Annual Procurement Report, which is a new legal requirement.
The report sets out the number and value of the council's 196 regulated procurements for goods, services and works during the report period of 1 January 2017 to 31 March 2018, with a total value of over £119 million.
Regulated procurement refers to any procurement activity above £50,000 for goods and services and £2,000,000 for works contracts
The report also reinforces the council's commitment to achieving superior procurement performance through advanced sustainable procurement practices for the benefit of the council and its stakeholders.
Council Leader Lawrence Fitzpatrick said: "We welcome the publication of the council's first Annual Procurement Report, detailing what the council has spent on goods, services and works over the period.
"Regulated procurement allows us to buy the goods, works and services necessary to deliver the essential services on behalf of the West Lothian public."
The publication of the Annual Procurement Report aims to show how regulated procurements have supported the council's priorities and strategy outcomes, as outlined in the Corporate Procurement Strategy and Corporate Plan, to achieve better outcomes for West Lothian.
