Winter Ready 2020

The Met Office yellow warning for wind and snow remains in place until late Tuesday night with snow showers mainly to impact on areas 150 metres above sea level with lower levels expected to experience slushy conditions.

This will be followed by a new yellow warning coming into effect in the early hours of Wednesday morning warning of potential for snow and ice.

The council's winter team are equipped to deal with the developing conditions with vehicles set to treat routes throughout the day and throughout the night.

You can track any vehicles involved in active gritting operations here: https://www.westlothian.gov.uk/article/30888/Gritting-and-Winter-Maintenance

Anyone travelling is advised to check the conditions in advance and plan their journey accordingly. For more info on how we work to combat severe weather, please visit https://crowd.in/oF4AgA
