West Lothian Community Choices empowers everyone from community groups to individual service users to get involved in local decision making via a democratic, Participatory Budgeting process.

A total of £175,000 is set to be allocated towards the maintenance and improvement of the following parks:

  • King George V Playing Fields, Uphall
  • Bellsquarry Recreation Ground, Bellsquarry, Livingston
  • Craigton Park, Winchburgh
  • Langton Park, East Calder
  • Letham Park, Pumpherston

The parks are looked after by the council's NETs, Land and Countryside Services who are responsible for parks, park improvements, recreation areas, open spaces and sports grounds maintenance across the area.

Executive councillor for the environment, Tom Conn said: "Community Choices provides a fantastic opportunity for regular users to engage on the process of maintaining and improving these open spaces. I would encourage as many people as possible to provide their feedback and have their voice heard."
