With the start of spring, steps have been taken to allow garden waste to be safely recycled at the centres, while ensuring that physical distancing measures can be maintained.
Each recycling centre will have a dedicated skip for garden waste. Please follow the signage or check with staff onsite, for the arrangements at each location.
Further recycling services will be restored to once restrictions are eased and in line with Scottish Government guidance.
Executive councillor for the environment Tom Conn said: "With many West Lothian residents already started work in their gardens, the return of dedicated garden waste recycling will be welcomed by many.
"Special arrangements have been made at all five West Lothian recycling centres to accommodate this safely, so please follow the instructions on site."
West Lothian's five recycling centres are located at Blackburn, Broxburn, Linlithgow, Oakbank in Livingston and Whitburn. For locations, opening hours and site rules, please visit Community Recycling Centres
Dedicated recycling facilities for electrical goods is available at all centres. All other waste should be put into either bulky or bagged waste skips, which is taken offsite where our contractor will recover as much material for recycling as possible.
Vans and trailers still need to book in advance before using our sites, and can do so at Vans and Trailers at Community Recycling Centres.
