There will be no bin collections on Saturdays and Sundays, 25 and 26 December 2021 and 1 and 2 January 2022.
Any grey or brown bins due for collection on any of these dates should be put out the following Monday, either 27 December or 3 January and will be collected during the week.
You can check your collection dates and sign up for handy email reminders of your bin collection dates at Bin Collection Calendar Dates to ensure you don't miss them over the festive period. Unfortunately, we are unable to return to empty bins that were not out on the correct day.
All bins should be at the kerbside by 7am on their day of collection, and left out until they are emptied. With increased volumes of recycling and waste over the Festive period and less collection days, residents are thanked for their understanding if collections are unavoidably delayed.
Updates on any disruptions to collections are available at Bin Collection Daily Updates
West Lothian's five recycling centres will be open as normal during the Festive period, except for 25 and 26 December and 1 and 2 January when they will be closed. For more details, please visit Community Recycling Centres
Physical distancing measures are still in place at all our recycling centres, which limits the numbers of people who can use them at one time. This can lead to queues at the busier centres, such as Oakbank in Livingston and Whitburn.
No bookings are accepted for bulky uplifts between Monday 20 December 2021 until Monday 10 January 2022 to allow resources to be prioritised to household bin collections.
