The free guided tours and open-door opportunities provided behind-the-scenes access and insight into the people, places, organisations, activities and operations which make the new town tick.
The tours included Livingston secondary schools and the award winning West Lothian Civic Centre. Hundreds of people attended the events.
The Wee Museum of Memory event takes place at The Centre on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 December, 10am-4pm. Members of the public can drop in to the Wee Museum of Memory and see the Livingston 60th exhibition and watch some historic footage of Livingston on our vintage style TV. There will also be themed reminiscence session at 2pm on both the Friday and Saturday. Join us in for a wee blether about memories of Livingston over the years. Snacks and refreshments will be served. Spaces for these sessions are limited, please book in advance. The North Livingston Partnership Centre opened its doors and had a day of activities planned (pictured). The new town of Livingston turned 60 in April and a series of community events have been arranged over the year to mark the occasion.
