West Lothian Council is working with Edinburgh City Council to look at public transport and active travel links in the area along the A8/A89 between Broxburn to Maybury.
This is one of two flagship transport projects funded through the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal aimed at addressing key challenges and delivering better public transport options along the route.
The project aims to better connect communities with major employment, education, healthcare and leisure opportunities.

Executive councillor for Environment and sustainability, Tom Conn said: "Working with City of Edinburgh Council, our aim is to better connect communities with major employment, education, healthcare and leisure opportunities.
"To meet West Lothian Council's 2045 net zero targets, we need to make it safer and easier for more people to make more journeys by bus or by walking, wheeling or cycling. The voice of local West Lothian residents is vital in helping to shape what the future of travel along this key transport route."
