A special event was held in Whitburn Partnership Centre recently to mark the latest graduates of the Women N2 Work Course, which offers support and assistance to women that are thinking of starting or returning to work.
A total of five women completed the six-week course, which explores the barriers that women can face to gain fair and sustainable employment, and provides methods and techniques to overcome any employment related challenges.
Run by employment experts from West Lothian Council's Access2employment service, the course covers a range of topics including wellbeing, empowerment & personal development, mock interview support, CV development, job searching, and more.
Executive councillor for the economy, community empowerment and wealth building said: "Congratulations to all the women who have successfully completed the Women N2 work course, and all the tutors who have supported them.
"The Women N2 Work course aims to support women to achieve their career aspirations and unlocking their true potential. Bus tickets and lunch are provided to ensure it is accessible for everyone, with a recognised qualification at the end.
"The council offers a wide range of targeted support for anyone looking to get back into work or develop their skills for employment, so please get in touch if you would benefit from additional support."
