In my civic duties I often have the privilege of meeting families or individuals who have been long term residents of West Lothian who are celebrating significant milestones.
Something that is consistent is their real pride in their local communities. Despite challenges ahead, my hope for the new year and beyond is that we can continue to inspire pride in West Lothian.
Certainly, from my meetings with our youngest residents this year I can say there is plenty of enthusiasm to be harnessed to help us achieve this aim! The festive period is always a magical time for children and I have had the great pleasure of enjoying the creative talents of school pupils in the build up to Christmas. We most definitely have some magnificent singers across our schools and if you haven't already you can view many school choir performances via the West Lothian Council Facebook page.
