provost's awards

Nominations are now open for individuals or groups who have made an outstanding voluntary contribution to community life in West Lothian.

The Provost's Awards look to recognise the people who make West Lothian a better place to live, work, visit and do business. This will be the second edition with the inaugural event taking place at Linlithgow Burgh Halls in May 2025.

Provost Cathy Muldoon said: "I remain very honoured to carry out the role of Provost and in my duties, I am so fortunate to meet incredibly selfless individuals and groups who go out of their way for others.

"These people deserve recognition; therefore, I am delighted to announce the return of the Provost's Awards for 2026.

"If you may know someone who has volunteered in their community, spends their free time ensuring West Lothian continues to a be a great place to stay, or is active in working to improve their town or village then we want to hear from you. The nomination window is now open so please do not hesitate to get your entries in."

Nominees must live, work or attend school or college in West Lothian. To submit a nomination, visitwww.westlothian.gov.uk/provosts-award by Friday 10 July.
